Caring for Wool
Washing
Our wool is 100% natural merino wool that has natural odour fighting properties which means you don’t have to wash it too often.
If you do need to wash it we recommend washing it by hand in a sink or basin of cool water with wool detergent. Turn garment inside out and swirl water gently taking care not to stretch the fabric. The Laundress have a beautiful wool and cashmere wash and if you’re looking for a budget friendly alternative, good old Aldi has one too.
Drying
When drying lie it flat so it dries back into its original shape. Do not use the dryer. To remove excess water we recommend you place your garment flat on a dry towel and roll it like you would a yoga mat. Do not wring it out as this might damage the fibers. Place it on a flat surface like the top of an airier and out of direct sunlight.
Storage
We recommend storing your woolie goodies folded on a shelf rather than on a hanger. As our merino wool is a luxury yarn consider using a lavender bag or cedar spray to protect it against pests.
As merino wool is a high quality natural fiber it can sometimes create small fiber balls. These can easily be removed using a lint roller. Lincraft have a great battery operated one for under 13 dollars which is a great investment as it can be used across multiple fabrics and garment. This will help you prolong the life of many items in your wardrobe.
